A Note from Sarah

When I take on a commission, it’s exactly that—a co-piloted mission to create something meaningful together.

When I choose to be present in the process, your vision becomes a gift to me as well. Personal meaning can be found anywhere, at any time, if we are aware and choose to be present in the moment.

I hold each person’s vision as a sacred honor—a chance to make the unseen textures of their life’s journey visible for them.

  • 1. Consultation

A conversation—in person at the studio, by phone, or video call—to discuss your vision, the space the work is intended for, and the feeling you want the painting to evoke. Sarah will ask about scale, color, imagery, and what this piece means to you.

    2. Concept and Proposal

Sarah develops a concept and provides a written proposal including dimensions, estimated timeline, and pricing. A 50% deposit secures your place on the commission calendar.

    3. Creation

Sarah works on your painting at her studio in Dilworth Artisan Station. You’ll receive progress updates with studio photos at key stages. Her layered process means each painting goes through multiple transformations—this is part of the magic.

    4. Reveal and Delivery

When the work is complete, Sarah shares final images for your approval. The remaining 50% is due upon completion. The painting is professionally packaged and shipped, or you’re welcome to collect it from the studio in person.

  • Commission pricing is based on scale, complexity, and materials and reflects the additional time and conceptual development involved.

Most commissions begin at $15,000 for mid-scale works and increase with size and detail.

Large-scale statement pieces for significant architectural spaces are quoted individually.

Sarah is happy to discuss vision and budget during the initial consultation.

  • To protect Sarah’s creative energy on her original works, a small number of commissions are accepted on a rolling basis.

As of now, 2026 commissions are full. We are accepting inquiries for 2027 and can put you on the 2026 waitlist if your project is urgent.
