Meet Sarah

Sarah Helser paints toward a place she cannot quite name. Working in acrylic and mixed media, she builds layers of pattern, texture, and resin, allowing each painting to reveal itself slowly. What emerges feels both familiar and strange—a memory of somewhere she has never been, vivid enough to recognize and mysterious enough to keep searching.

In 2025, a fire destroyed her home studio. In the wake of that loss, Sarah chose to begin again, returning to the small, daily act of making. Blue Hour: Salt is her first full collection since.

Today, she paints at Dilworth Artisan Station in Charlotte’s South End, where a new chapter has taken shape in Blue Hour: Salt. Now available, the collection carries the care, courage, and countless brushstrokes of that beginning.
